Fred L. Anderson (aka F. L.) is the owner of Lawn and BBQ. Yep… He’s managed to combine two of his passions on one platform.
He developed a, "Green Thumb" for lawn care at the age of 16 while working with his dad in his landscape business in the mid-'80s. This was before landscaping was an industry. As a matter of fact, as a teen, his was responsible for maintaining the lawn at his family home. From years of maintaining his own lawn, receiving coaching from soil and lawn experts, research, trial and error, He’s become very experienced and proficient at lawn care and fertilization.
For years, friends, family and neighbors would ask, "How do you get your grass to look so green and healthy?" Or, "Can you come and do my yard?" So in 2021 he started Anderson's Lawn Fertilization, (Now Lawn And BBQ) offering customized lawn fertilization, diagnostics and consultation.
In the early 90's just after leaving the US Army, F. L. discovered an interest in bbq and bbq competitions. In his early 30's he started experimenting with meat and various types of pits and smokers. With over twenty years of smoking bbq he has become an expert at backyard barbecues, perfecting his brisket and ribs, receiving request from family, friends, co-workers and business associates.
In 2020 and with his two boys grown and one in college, F. L. finally made the decision to, "Pull the trigger on an idea and a dream I've been sitting on for years and to be able to share my signature ribs and brisket with a wider audience."
